Streams in the Desert
3,400 years ago the Jewish people embarked on what is one of the greatest feats in human history. After being enslaved in Egypt for 400 years, they literally walked out, taking the first steps on what would become a 40 year journey to their own “Promised Land”. The journey is remarkable enough in its own right, but what makes it even more impressive is the fact that the story of their journey was included in the Bible as an example to us: the lessons they learned along the way mirror the lessons we must learn on our own journey of faith.
Each week we will look at a different scene, drawing lessons that impact our lives today. Along the way we will not only learn how to grow in faith and obedience, we will also encounter amazing images of Christ.
